There are universities based in Broome that offer both online and on campus courses for further education options within the Kimberley.

The University of Notre Dame and the CQUniversity both have campuses and hubs based on the ground in the region, as well as the ever increasing number of online courses which can be studied via distance education options.

The University of Notre Dame is located in Broome, Western Australia and was established in 1883. Home to the Nulungu Research Institute with a focus on core researching Education, Health and Wellbeing, and Caring for Country.

The University of Notre Dame offers a range of facilities and learning delivery methods to help provide further education for Kimberley residents. Facilities include;

  • Campus library
  • Venue hire with a multipurpose conference room
  • Meeting and tutorial rooms are all equipped with audio visual and presentation facilities
  • Lecture Rooms
  • Computer Lab
  • The Library Deck
  • The Yarning Circle
  • Graduation Court
  • Onsite accommodation for up to 28 people with nine self-contained houses.
